MEET OUR TEAM
Egle Mateo has a degree in Arts from Lithuania. She specializes in drawing, painting, basket weaving, glass and pottery. She teaches private classes for all ages. She is also known for her cookie decorating arts. She has a daughter in high school and an energetic toddler.
Teresa Restom Gaskill has a Ph.D. in Botany from the University of Hawaii and a Masters in Ecology from Brazil. She teaches Biology at Saint Petersburg College as a full time faculty. She has a son in middle school and a daughter in high school.
Tara Kok has an AS degree in Environmental Science Technology, with specialization in Water Resource Management, from St. Petersburg College. She currently is working on her Bachelor degree in Environmental Science and Policy at USF. She is involved in local craft art festivals and makes hand-stitched embroideries. Tara has been teaching with us since 2017.
Bridget Newell has an Associate in Art degree from Bergen Community College, and is a certified Yoga teacher from YogaMatrix, Orlando. She has taught as a volunteer at Eola Charter School, Lakeview Fundamental, and at the YMCA. Bridget is a mother of two teens. She has been teaching with us since 2017.
Allison G. Redd is a licensed child care professional with more than 12 years of experience, including being the afterschool coordinator at McMannis pre-school. She is an accomplished artist having done pieces for Nina Harris Exceptional Center, The Bolesta Center, Chairs for Charity, Outdoor Arts Foundation and the Art Arbor at Boyd Hill Nature Park. She has been teaching with us since 2017.
Lauren Sternis a teacher and a happy hippie mama! She has her degree in Early Childhood Education, and has been teaching for over twelve years. She has experience in First Grade, Kindergarten, and as a reading specialist, in addition to mothering her son! Lauren is also a certified Kidding Around Yoga instructor and enjoys bringing yoga, mindfulness, and art into her classroom. She has been teaching with us since 2018.
Cathleen Clark has a BA from Regis University, Colorado. She has been teaching for 12 years, including elementary school kids and adults. She is currently working on her pre-med requirements at USF. Her husband, Nathan Beard, is an accomplished local artist. They have a savvy and creative daughter in elementary school. She has been teaching with us since 2018.
Taylor Baker has an AS degree in liberal arts and is currently working toward her B.S in Educational Studies and Community Leadership. She is a licensed child care professional and has three years of experience working with children of all ages. She has been teaching with us since February 2019.
Henny Kartika has a Masters in Food Science from the University of Hawaii. In addition to teaching with us, she is a preschool teacher at First Presbyterian Day School. She has three boys in elementary and middle schools. She has been teaching with us since 2016.
