Important Accessibility Note: Our room is on the 2nd floor and there are no elevators in the building.
This 1-day class will introduce students to coding as they learn how to use micro:bits. A micro:bit is a pocket-sized computer that introduces people to how software and hardware work together. These small computers have an LED light display, buttons, sensors, and input/output features that can be programmed to do certain things. In this workshop, kids will:

Understand the various parts of a Micro:bit and how they work,

Gain an appreciation of how code is used to program machines, and

Learn how to create a name tag, sound and light programs, a thermometer, and more.
