These classes are geared towards children of Brazilian parents who live in the USA. We cover basics of language and expose the kids to several aspects of the Brazilian culture.
Essas aulas são para filhos(as) de brasileiros que moram na área de Tampa Bay e que gostariam que seus filhos(as) fossem mais expostos à cultura brasileira.
Nossas aulas envolvem leitura, escrita, brincadeiras, arte, dança e música. Por meio de atividades lúdicas, as crianças ouvem e praticam o português, e aprendem cultura, geografia e história do Brasil.
Professoras:
Camilla Lima is originally from Sergipe, Brazil, and is now a senior at St. Petersburg Collegiate High School, currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration at St. Petersburg College. She has experience tutoring kids and as a babysitter.
Teresa Restom Gaskill is from Rio de Janeiro. She graduated from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in Biology. She also lived in Pará for 5 years and has a Masters degree from Universidade Federal do Pará. She came to the United States to pursue her doctorate degree in Botany at the University of Hawaii, where she met her husband. She has been living in Florida since 2005.
