Homeschool Classes Description
Hands-on Enrichment: Mondays 9:15-10:45 AM or Tuesdays 12:30-2 PM Teacher: Ms. Michelle
This class is a fun and educational class, where students make hands-on projects to take home while learning about science, art and cultures.
Creative Stitches: Mondays 11-12:30 or Tuesdays 10:30-noon Teacher: Ms. Mayumi
This class applies fine motor skills and creativity as students learn how to manipulate a sewing machine, hand-sew, and design to make creative fabric projects. This class is geared towards boys and girls alike.
Science: Mondays 1-2 PM or Tuesdays 9:15-10:15 AM Teacher: Ms. Michelle
Classes will follow the Scholastic curriculum. Kids will learn biological, physical and chemical sciences according to their grade level.

Character Design: Tuesdays 9:15-10:15 AM Teacher: Ms. Jenn
Students learn the foundations of character design and bring their own creations to life on paper. Each week we explore a new technique and a new type of character, from people and animals to robots and creatures straight out of their imagination. Students build and can share their character's story with the group, obtaining confidence and creativity along the way.
Reading & Writing: Wednesdays 9:15-10:15 AM Teacher: Ms. Reese
Students will learn and practice their communication skills through lessons on reading, writing and vocabulary at their appropriate grade level.

Practical Life Skills: Wednesdays 10:30-noon Teacher: Ms. Michelle
This hands-on class teaches essential life skills that aren't always covered in traditional academics and sometimes lost in the busy schedule of home life. This class will help students develop responsibility, problem-solving, safety awareness, better communication and valuable habits they can use everyday through engaging, real-wolrd activities.
Visual Art with Ms. Michelle: Wednesdays 12:30-2 PM
Students will explore and dabble in both traditional and contemporary art through introductory photography, printmaking, collages, painting and 3D art while discovering influential art movements throughout history. As they experiment with different materials and techniques, students will build an appreciation for the many ways art can express ideas and tell stories.

Studio Art with Ms. Egle: Fridays 12:30-2 PM
Students will learn to recognize and utilize different mediums and techniques to express themselves through visual art. Students will learn about composition and will be introduced to shading techniques. We will rotate mediums/techniques monthly: pencil drawing, shading techniques, composition, watercolor, acrylic painting, abstract art, 3D art, and art inspired by famous artists.

Math: Fridays, 9:15-10:15 AM Teacher: Ms. Reese
Students will learn and practice their skills in basic operations, fractions, decimals, measurements & data, geometry and algebraic thinking.

Spanish: Fridays, 1-2 PM Teacher: Ms. Laura
This class works on 8-week modules. Students will learn the language through lessons, worksheets, conversation and music. At the end of each module, they will take an exam to be advanced to the next level.

Science with Stacey: Wednesdays 2-3:30 PM
Do you have a budding biologist, future physicist, or mighty meterologist? These classes are an amazing way to introduce any science concept for your child. Inspire a love of science with hands on exploration with Stacey, the Science Lady. Classes will cover topics in life, physical and earth sciences.
